A trip to Costco to check on a lot of things to do on the list. Not only can shopkeepers stock up on bulk discounted grocers, they can also fuel a gas pump, discover travel routes, print photos, fix eye exams, collect a prescription insurance purchase, and so much more.
Now, more people are discovering another less known perk vendor to offer. One user on Reddit was startled to discover about the service and in a post on 20 June cried “Costco has carwashs?”, along with a picture for the test.
Yes, Costco has a car wash service. But now only 12 exist in a few states – six in California, two in both Arizona and Tennessee, and one in both Boise, Idaho and Seattle, Washington. With such a tight national presence, Costco’s privacy service has been well-cared for.
Costco car washes are open every week at these select locations and offer only one luggage option for a price of $7.99. This includes exterior wash and wax, tire shine and wheel cleaner, undercarriage and rust inhibitor wash, and a spot free rinse. Plus, the car wash uses Envirosoft foam brushes – stripes and vortex cloth strips that help to get rid of any stuck-in grime and ceramic protective clothing, another feature recently added.
No interior cleaning or cleaning services are available, however, and other users on the reddit thread voiced complaints about the lack of self-service vacuums accompanying car washes.
It also has a convenience car bath on its side, adjacent to Costco warehouses. The price seems to be on par with the magazines chain, with one Reddit user commenting that the wash is ‘pretty much’.
“It’s equivalent to the premium car wash ($10-$15) for the car washers fundamentally priced ($7.99) shared user.
